Verasonics Awarded United States Patent for Ultrasonic Transceiver Design

KIRKLAND, Wash.--()--Verasonics, Inc., the leader in research ultrasound, today announced that on September 17, 2024, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued US patent number 12,089,991, “Ultrasound Transmitter with Low Distortion and Concurrent Receive,” covering an ultrasonic transceiver design providing the ability to transmit high power and high frequency arbitrary waveforms with low image distortion, and enabling concurrent receive and monitoring of the transmit signal through the receiver during the transmit period. This is one of many Verasonics patents issued worldwide covering ten unique technologies.

This patent protects the novel transceiver design utilized in the Company’s Vantage® NXT Research Ultrasound System. Vantage NXT is the successor to Verasonics’ pioneering and industry-leading Vantage Research Ultrasound System. The Company is in the process of filing for protection in several key territories worldwide.
