SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PicnicHealth, a leading patient-centered healthcare evidence generation company, appointed three advisors in clinical research design – Nancy Dreyer, Solomon Iyasu, and Jeremy Brody. These new advisors are joining PicnicHealth in an advisory capacity to support the company’s expansion into regulatory use cases.
Dr. Nancy Dreyer has joined as Chief Scientific Advisor. Dr. Dreyer is an internationally recognized expert in the use of real-world evidence for regulatory purposes. She has experience in building patient registries and patient-generated health datasets through her senior executive leadership roles at IQVIA, Outcome Sciences (acquired by Quintiles) and Epidemiology Resources Inc (acquired by United Health). Dr. Dreyer holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology and Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
“The industry is evolving, and models that were once considered ‘tried and true’ are no longer sufficient in addressing evidence needs,” said Dr. Dreyer. “PicnicHealth has been paving the way for what the future of research looks like, and I am excited to work with them to shape the new frontier of evidence generation.”
Dr. Dreyer is joined by Dr. Solomon Iyasu, Senior Pharmacovigilance Advisor, and Jeremy Brody, Senior Strategy Advisor.
Dr. Iyasu has more than 35 years of experience in using real-world data for decision making. He held senior roles in epidemiology as the Global Head of Epidemiology at Merck, and Director of the Office of Epidemiology and Pharmacovigilance in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Iyasu holds an M.D. in medicine from the University of Delhi, Maulana Azad Medical School, and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
Jeremy Brody is a senior consultant with broad experience in healthcare-focused strategy and development of real-world evidence. He held Chief Strategy Officer roles at both Aetion and Kantar Health, in addition to a variety of roles in life sciences-focused private equity and health data companies. Brody holds a B.A. in Psychology from New York University as well as a M.S. in Health Policy and Management from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
“Nancy, Solomon, and Jeremy bring a wealth of experience on optimizing patient-centered evidence generation,” said Noga Leviner, CEO and cofounder of PicnicHealth. “The guidance and leadership they bring are critical as we expand our offerings to our pharmaceutical customers.”
These appointments follow a recent broadening of capabilities for PicnicHealth, which in August 2023 announced its entry into the real-world data market for cancer, and in October 2023 announced its acquisition of AllStripes, a company dedicated to generating evidence about the rare disease community.
