Cloud Leaders Converge on Portland for a Free Event

Cloud computing is changing the way business gets done. Portland to become the first stop in learning how to advance organizations— and careers — in the cloud.

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--()--CloudCheckr, the cloud management company, today announced the first city in its Cloud Leaders Tour 2018 event series. Portland, OR, known for its thriving tech community, will play host on February 23, 2018. The Cloud Leaders event will feature talks by prominent local and national IT executives who have successfully leveraged cloud computing technology in their organization.

Attendees of Cloud Leaders Portland will learn how to shift their organizations toward a cloud-first approach, learn new skills that are unique to the cloud, network with peers, and dig into the latest industry issues and trends. They will also gain insights from the latest Cloud Management Report, which surveys experts on the development of a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) in their organizations.

“When we saw the results of the Cloud Management Report, we knew there was a huge amount of interest in how an organization moves from embracing the cloud to truly transforming itself in the cloud,” said Steve Hall, VP Partner Strategy at CloudCheckr. “Bringing together leaders across the organization is essential to making the fundamental changes needed to develop a cloud-based business structure.”

Cloud Leaders is aimed at executives, IT leaders, cloud architects, and DevOps who are driving organizational change as business models shift to the cloud. This live event series was inspired by the success of last year’s Cloud Leaders Virtual Summit. Portland will be followed by stops in Denver, Austin, San Jose, and Washington, DC.

“Our inspiration for the Cloud Leaders event series came from the enormous popularity of our virtual summit, where we invited remarkable thinkers to share their ideas and skills,” said Brandon Lee, Director of Digital Marketing at CloudCheckr. “This series of live events allows us to bring together even more thought leaders and allow them to engage with the audience in person.”

Portland’s Cloud Leaders event will be hosted conveniently downtown at the Courtyard Marriott Portland City Center. The event includes breakfast networking followed by a keynote address from Andrew Plato, President & CEO of Portland-based cloud security company Anitian. Following the keynote, there are four Cloud Leader talks and a round table discussion. A cocktail networking reception concludes the day. The event is free to attend, registration is required.
