BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EBI Consulting, a leading provider of environmental sustainability, engineering and due diligence services, today announced that John Hession has been appointed to the position of vice president of Engineering Services.
Hession has more than 24 years of engineering, project management and client partnership experience. He has successfully managed numerous multi-disciplinary teams on highly complex mixed-use and commercial real estate development projects, from site selection and feasibility study through design, permitting, and construction.
Hession comes to EBI from Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. of Watertown, Mass., a 900-person firm that provides integrated transportation, land development and environmental services from 20 offices along the East Coast. At Vanasse, he spent 12 years in positions of increasing responsibility and most recently was retail practice leader and a principal. Prior to that Hession was a senior project manager / team leader at Otak of Lake Oswego, Ore., and a storm water specialist for the city of West Linn, Ore. He began his career as a project engineer for BSC Group, Inc. of Norwell, Mass.
In his role at EBI, Hession will be responsible for growing, training, developing and managing the company’s professional civil engineering team. He will also work with the EBI sales team to develop new site / civil engineering opportunities for the company and will oversee all projects in this area.

Hession is registered as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in Massachusetts, Oregon and Washington states. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
