Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Appoints Scott Oppenheimer as Commercial Sales Advisor

MIAMI & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) – the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol – today announced that it has appointed Scott Oppenheimer to the role of Commercial Sales Advisor, effective July 1, 2025. In this capacity, Oppenheimer will report to John Wittig, Chief Commercial Officer, and continue to play a key role in supporting Southern Glazer’s long-term commercial strategy.

In his new advisory role, Oppenheimer will serve as Chairman of Southern Glazer’s Travel Retail Sales & Export Division, formerly WEBB Banks, while also working closely with Wittig on the development and execution of the Company’s overall Canadian Commercial strategy. He will also serve as a key advisor to Wittig’s commercial office, providing strategic guidance on major commercial initiatives and project management across Southern Glazer’s four operating regions.

Since joining Southern Glazer’s in 2002, Oppenheimer has held several key leadership roles, including Regional President, Control States and Canada. He most recently served as President, East Region, where he led operations across 10 U.S. markets and managed the Company’s Caribbean and duty-free subsidiary. Prior to Southern Glazer’s, he held executive positions at Moët Hennessy USA, Millennium Import Company, and E. & J. Gallo Winery.
