Sloane & Company Announces Key Leadership Changes to Drive Growth
Strategic leadership team appointments are designed to propel the company into a new era of expansion
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sloane & Company (“Sloane” or “the Company”), an industry leader in corporate and financial communications, today announced a series of significant changes that mark a new chapter in the firm’s journey towards growth, innovation, and excellence.
- Darren Brandt assumes the role of sole CEO of Sloane. With over 30 years of industry experience, 27 of which were spent at Sloane where he also started the company, Brandt has co-led the company alongside Whit Clay for the past nine years. Brandt will continue to lead with the same passion and vision that has driven Sloane’s success. Brandt’s commitment to delivering excellence and driving innovation will build upon Sloane’s strong foundation and guide the company into the next phase of growth. Whit Clay steps down as co-CEO and will leave the company for another opportunity.
- Melissa Green joins Sloane as the company’s first Chief Growth Officer and is charged with crafting Sloane's growth strategies leveraging her three decades of experience in senior roles across business and government. This move underscores Sloane's commitment to expanding its market presence and driving growth. Green comes to Sloane from Lazard, where she most recently served as Global Co-Head of Strategic Client Development, focusing on industry relationships and client engagement with an emphasis on Lazard's Financial Advisory clientele. She has held positions at Rational 360, a strategic communications firm where she developed multi-faceted campaigns to influence public opinion and drive outcomes for her clients, Goldman Sachs, two White House Administrations (OMB and NEC), and a presidential campaign. Her addition will further invigorate the company’s strategic direction and build upon its culture of innovation.
- Ariel Kouvaras becomes Senior Managing Director. With 15 years in the industry and almost a decade at Sloane, Kouvaras has been instrumental in driving transformation initiatives including building and advancing a new marketing strategy and leading its AI practice. Kouvaras’s dedication, expertise, and leadership will be instrumental in driving future growth and ensuring that Sloane continues to innovate and excel in the industry.
"I am thankful for the many years of partnership with Whit, and we all wish him continued success in the next chapter of his career,” said Darren Brandt, CEO of Sloane.
“As we sharpen Sloane’s focus on growth and innovation, I am energized to welcome Melissa onboard and to lead such a talented team of professionals in service of our clients and other stakeholders,” Brandt continued. “I’m also thrilled to congratulate Ariel on her expanded role at a time when the need for trusted advisors who understand today’s communications landscape has never been greater.”
