DIA 2025 Global Annual Meeting Highlights Need for Neutral Collaborations to Advance Innovations in Biomedical Science and Healthcare

Five-day program June 15-19 will focus on cross-border collaboration and feature executive programming and international regulatory sessions

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DIA, a global multidisciplinary life sciences membership association, will bring together thousands of stakeholders from all over the world to address opportunities for collaboration in medical product development to advance innovations and improve patient outcomes. The DIA 2025 Global Annual Meeting (DIA 2025) will take place June 15-19 in Washington, DC, at a crucial time for cross-border collaboration in health and life sciences as technological and clinical innovations, regulatory developments, and health policy shifts reshape partnerships worldwide.

The DIA 2025 program features new and expanded offerings, including a Global Executive Day, Spotlight Sessions highlighting emerging and complex cross-functional topics, and additional regulatory town halls. More than 200 sessions across 12 content tracks will include representatives from industry, academia, regulatory agencies, nonprofit organizations, and patient advocacy groups, plus over 600 speakers from AbbVie, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Bayer, the Gates Foundation, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Medidata, Novartis, Pfizer, Roche, Sanofi, Vertex, and other organizations.

  • Monday, June 16: Opening plenary session, DIAmond session on IDMP (Identification of Medicinal Products) standards addressing drug shortages, three Spotlight Sessions
  • Tuesday, June 17: DIAmond session on women’s inclusion in clinical trials, Global Executive Day, two regulatory town halls (China and Japan), Pediatric Cluster Town Hall
  • Wednesday, June 18: DIAmond session on rare disease treatment development, two regulatory town halls: US FDA Rare Disease and EMA Town Halls
  • Thursday, June 19: Additional regulatory town halls, EMA-FDA Question Time

Regulatory town halls will continue serving as cornerstones of the conference program with representatives from global health agencies sharing updates on their initiatives and discussing harmonization strategies. The expanded Global Executive Day will convene senior industry leaders and high-level regulators from across the industry to discuss innovative ways of using artificial intelligence (AI) and real-world evidence (RWE) in medical product development with a focus on accelerating innovation, regulatory harmonization, and market access.
