T-Mobile is the Network Champion

Using real data from real people, T-Mobile’s network once again reigns supreme in latest third-party report from Ookla®

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Since being the first to launch 5G, the Un-carrier’s network has continuously outperformed itself and its competitors, quickly emerging as the leader in 5G. Now for over two years, the Un-carrier has dominated not only for 5G, but for its overall network capabilities. The latest report from Ookla, a global leader in network intelligence and connectivity insights, once again confirms T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) as the top network performer in the nation in its Speedtest® Connectivity United States H2 2024 report.

"T-Mobile is the network leader, and Ookla’s report reaffirms the outstanding work our teams have done to get us here,” said Ulf Ewaldsson, President of Technology at T-Mobile. “By catching the 5G wave early and investing in nationwide 5G standalone faster than anyone else, we’ve positioned ourselves to lead long into the future and will continue to unlock even greater capabilities for businesses and customers.”

Here’s what T-Mobile’s network leadership brings to the table:

  • Fastest Speeds: Overall download speeds nearly 2x faster than Verizon with 5G download speeds on par with even traditional home internet providers.
  • Most Consistent Network: According to Ookla, the higher the score the more likely customers enjoy acceptable network performance and quality.
  • Best Mobile Video Streaming Experience: T-Mobile customers streaming their favorite shows on the go have the best overall experience.
  • Best Gaming Experience: Customers on T-Mobile’s network enjoy the best gaming experience for both overall network and 5G specifically, leading to lower latency and faster response times for players.
  • Highest Ranking Consumer Sentiment: It’s not just us tooting our own horn. Speedtest users ranked T-Mobile as the top mobile provider in the U.S.

As the fastest provider in the country, the Un-carrier ranks first in 46 states and the District of Columbia as well as in 79 of the 100 most populous U.S. cities.

T-Mobile is the leader in 5G, delivering America’s largest, fastest and most awarded 5G network. The Un-carrier’s 5G network covers more than 330 million people across two million square miles. More than 300 million people nationwide are covered by T-Mobile’s super-fast Ultra Capacity 5G with over 2x more square miles of coverage than similar mid-band 5G offerings from the Un-carrier’s closest competitors.
