  • Vittal’s role is part of the company’s accelerated focus on delivering new capabilities and workforce intelligence by leveraging UKG’s vast data and experience serving over 80,000 organizations

LOWELL, Mass. & WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, workforce management, and culture solutions, today announced that Suresh Vittal will join as chief product officer (CPO) beginning on January 20, 2025. Vittal will lead the company’s global product strategy and development, including user experience and cloud operations, for the more than 80,000 organizations that use UKG products across 150 countries worldwide.

Vittal will serve on the UKG executive leadership team and report directly to CEO Jennifer Morgan. Vittal’s appointment will further elevate and accelerate the UKG product roadmap with a continued focus on embedding artificial intelligence (AI) and leveraging the company’s differentiated workforce intelligence across all of its world-class products.

Vittal has spent more than 20 years in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry, including most recently as CPO of Alteryx, Inc., a leader in automated and AI analytics, where he led the product, engineering, design, and development teams to deliver innovative and scalable solutions for data science and analytics. Under his leadership, Alteryx helped make machine learning and AI accessible to all. Before Alteryx, Vittal spent nearly a decade at Adobe, rising to senior vice president of Platform and Products for Adobe Experience Cloud, one of the largest and most comprehensive digital marketing platforms in the world.

“Suresh brings strong product and team leadership and a customer centric approach that will propel UKG’s next chapter of growth as we continue to bring industry-specific capabilities, differentiation, and workforce intelligence to enterprises of all sizes,” said UKG CEO Jen Morgan. “Suresh’s prior leadership roles, his strong focus on customer experience, and his passion for data and AI make him a perfect addition to my leadership team.”

“I am thrilled to lead the exceptional product team at UKG whose work positively impacts tens of millions of people using their HCM, workforce management, payroll, and culture solutions around the world,” said Vittal. “It’s rare to have the opportunity to join a well-established, global market leader who also has tremendous future growth potential and the tools to reshape how we work. The commitment and passion that Jen and the UKG leadership team have for UKG’s incredible customer base, combined with UKG’s workforce solutions and intelligence, make this the perfect place for my next chapter.”

The company also announced that Hugo Sarrazin, president, chief product and technology officer, will be departing at the end of January. Over the last three years, Sarrazin has been instrumental in defining a common UKG product vision, building a unified suite experience for customers, and identifying differentiations to meet the needs of the tens of millions of frontline workers who use the company’s industry-leading workforce management products. Sarrazin was also the architect of the company’s acquisition of Immedis and subsequent launch of UKG One ViewTM, which led to UKG being named Global Payroll Supplier of the Year by the Global Payroll Association in 2024.

“I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to UKG’s outgoing president, chief product and technology officer, Hugo Sarrazin, for his tremendous leadership and contributions to UKG and our customers,” Morgan added.
