Komatsu Contributes $100,000 to Red Cross Hurricane Relief Funds

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Komatsu has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross to support ongoing relief efforts for Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, providing critical support to those affected. In the aftermath of these storms, many families are still grappling with devastating effects, as homes remain flooded and damaged by strong winds and tornadoes.

The Red Cross has already mobilized and remains on the ground to support survivors of the storms. Komatsu’s donation has strengthened the Red Cross’s ability to respond to evolving needs, providing essential programs, services and resources to those affected.

“On behalf of the Komatsu family of companies, we are deeply saddened by the stories of loss experienced by so many Americans. These hurricanes have left widespread devastation, leaving families unsure of their next steps toward recovery,” said Rod Schrader, Chairman and CEO, Komatsu North America. “We are honored to support the American Red Cross in their efforts to help these communities start rebuilding their homes and their lives. Komatsu is committed to standing by these communities as they work toward recovery.”

“With Hurricane Milton following closely in Hurricane Helene’s wake, the American Red Cross is on the ground helping families recover from these vicious storms,” said Anne McKeough, Chief Development Officer, American Red Cross. “We’re thankful to Komatsu for standing with us to provide help and hope as communities begin to navigate the long road to recovery.”

In addition to the company’s donation, Komatsu is encouraging employees to individually contribute to the Red Cross, with many supporting the relief efforts.
