City of Kingsport Selects Hansen to Modernize Utility Customer Billing and Engagement

Following a competitive selection process, City of Kingsport has embraced Hansen and its agile SaaS-based Customer Information System (CIS) to enhance customer care, billing and self-service experiences for its residents—advancing the city's smart city initiatives aimed at leveraging technology to improve municipal services and quality of life.

For the past 20 years, City of Kingsport had been using an internally developed system. This system was unable to deliver the flexibility and configurability of modern platforms.

Hansen CIS, the company’s core meter-to-cash offering designed specifically to empower North American municipalities and utility companies, was selected as the most comprehensive customer information system that supports smart city initiatives by streamlining operations and enhancing customer service.

The City of Kingsport has also opted to integrate Hansen Self Service Portal and Hansen Business Intelligence. This comprehensive modernization effort will significantly improve operational efficiency and offer customers enhanced self-service capabilities.
