Azul Intelligence Cloud Wins a Gold Stevie Award for DevOps Solution in the 2024 International Business Awards

Intelligence Cloud earns top honors for advancing DevOps efficiency and boosting developer productivity

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Azul, the only company 100% focused on Java, today announced that Azul Intelligence Cloud is a Gold Stevie Award winner in the DevOps Solution category in the 21st annual International Business Awards.

Azul Intelligence Cloud is a cloud analytics solution that provides actionable intelligence from production Java runtime data to dramatically boost developer productivity. Intelligence Cloud was recognized with a Gold Stevie Award for its ability to pinpoint what code actually runs to efficiently prioritize vulnerable code for remediation and unused and dead code for removal. It works with any JVM from any vendor or distribution, including Oracle, Amazon, Microsoft, Red Hat and Eclipse Temurin and consists of two award-winning services:

  • Azul Vulnerability Detection eliminates false positives by accurately identifying and prioritizing known security vulnerabilities in all Java applications and infrastructure; and
  • Code Inventory identifies unused and dead code by precisely detailing what custom and third-party code is actually run in production.

“We acquired another firm recently and aren’t familiar with their codebase. It contains millions of lines of code – reading and understanding that code would take months. With Code Inventory we identified large portions of unused code, archived it and now spend our time working on the important parts. This has significantly sped up our development cycles,” said an Azul Intelligence Cloud user from a leading fintech trading firm.

“We clearly see the benefit that Azul Intelligence Cloud delivers to our customers by helping their DevOps teams save an immense amount of time and increasing their productivity,” said Ed Tybursky, managing partner at Remend, an independent Oracle advisory firm. “The ability to efficiently triage vulnerable code and identify unused code for removal from telemetry across an entire Java estate, regardless of JDK distribution or vendor, is a crucial capability that enables DevOps teams to effectively focus their time and attention.”

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program, that recognizes individuals and organizations worldwide. This year’s awards received more than 3,600 nominations from organizations in 62 nations and territories.

“We are incredibly proud to see Azul Intelligence Cloud recognized with this prestigious Gold Stevie Award. This honor underscores the transformative impact that Intelligence Cloud is having in the Java DevOps community, empowering teams to reduce the burden of code maintenance and tackle security vulnerabilities with unmatched productivity and precision,” said Scott Sellers, co-founder and CEO of Azul. “Winning this award is not just a validation of our commitment to innovation in Java, but a testament to our relentless focus on delivering products that drive real, measurable value for our customers.”

“We’ve long considered The International Business Awards to be the ‘Olympics for the workplace,’ and this year’s competition is the best-ever proof of that,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Miller. “The winners have demonstrated that their organizations have set and achieved lofty goals. We congratulate them on their recognized achievements and look forward to celebrating them on stage in Istanbul on 11 October.”
