HUB404 Supports 2024 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race

Find HUB404 at the Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo presented by Publix July 2-3

ATLANTA--()--The HUB404 Conservancy will participate in the Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo presented by Publix July 2-3 at the Georgia World Congress Center, Hall C4. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race participants can pick up their numbers between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and have the chance to learn more about HUB404, the half-mile green space above Georgia 400 in Buckhead that will change the look of the race in years to come. Participants can visit HUB404 at Booth 412.

Established by the Buckhead Community Improvement District (CID), HUB404 will bridge Lenox Road and Georgia 400, linking the PATH400 Greenway Trail, the Atlanta BeltLine, MARTA, neighboring streets and neighborhood parks and creating an iconic 9-acre park above the highway. The HUB404 mission is to create a world-class, community-driven greenspace showcasing the best of Atlanta. In years to come, participants will be able to take MARTA to Buckhead and walk through HUB404 to the start of the race at Lenox Mall.

“The AJC Peachtree Road Race is part of the history and culture of Atlanta,” says Anthony Rodriguez, executive director of the HUB404 Conservancy. “At HUB404, we believe in supporting the culture, art and events that make Atlanta shine. We are proud to be associated with such an iconic Atlanta event.”

The project is funded by a mix of public and private donations. To date, HUB404 has raised approximately $1.2M, with more than $17,000 from grassroots donors. In addition, $4M in public sector funding has been dedicated to the project, most of that from the Buckhead CID. The project is poised to begin engineering pedestrian bridges over Lenox Road, with the engineering of the major section from Lenox Road to Peachtree Road expected to begin later this year. Donations can be made at hub404.org/gimme4/.

The race’s 6.2-mile course takes 50,000 participants from the streets of Buckhead to the corners of Midtown, finishing in Piedmont Park. Registration for the race closes on Saturday, June 15. To register, visit atlantatrackclub.org.
