Quickbase Reinforces Data Security and Compliance Standards for FastField

New certifications for data protection, data sharing and cloud-based security offer peace of mind when using mobile forms to capture and connect data to get work done

BOSTON--()--Quickbase, the software application platform for dynamic work management, today announced a new set of data and cloud security certifications for its FastField mobile forms solution. These certifications exceed the highest standards of data protection, delivering peace of mind to organizations in construction, manufacturing, and other industries looking to take advantage of FastField’s mobile capabilities for seamless data capture, form generation, and real-time insights from the field.

“For workers in the field or on the shop floor, relying on paper-based forms or manually keyed-in data takes too long to keep up with the dynamic nature of their work,” said Jeff Stay, vice president of Product Development for Quickbase. “That’s where connected mobile forms can be so powerful, able to capture real-time data about the site or work environment and share it for maximum impact. The last thing they need to be thinking about is whether their data is secure, which is why FastField’s dedication to security and compliance is a cornerstone of our promise to our customers, ensuring that every client can trust the security of their data with unwavering confidence.”

The new security certifications for FastField include:

  • SOC2 Type II Attestation – Focused on FastField’s controls related to security, availability, and confidentiality, this attestation reflects rigorous evaluation of security measures like encryption and access controls to protect the integrity and confidentially of sensitive data, as judged conducted by independent auditors assessing adherence to the Trust Services Criteria (TSC) set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
  • HIPAA Security Rule Attestation – The SOC2 Type II report also includes confirmation that FastField complies with the HIPAA Security Rule for putting in place the necessary administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect electronic protected health information (ePHI); however, FastField customers are responsible for complying with the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
  • Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) STAR Level 1 – The Cloud Security Alliance’s (CSA) Cloud Controls Matrix outlines the controls and requirements to mitigate risks associated with cloud-based technology; with a Level 1 achievement, FastField provides customers with greater peace of mind around the storage and processing of their data, placing it on the CSA’s Security, Trust, Assurance, and Risk (STAR) Registry.

Of note, Quickbase became a Level 2 provider on the CSA STAR Registry for its platform in August 2023, making it one of a select group of no-code technology providers to reach that level of attestation.
