This marks the first step in an ambitious plan to bring Sprinkles' iconic creations to the world, with Singapore and Malaysia to follow shortly after.
In 2022, the median annual gross sales for the top third of covered company-owned bakeries was over $3,000,000 (as reported in Sprinkles’ April 28, 2023 FDD.) Having kicked off its franchising initiative in 2021, Sprinkles has achieved remarkable momentum, being lauded as “Best Dessert Chain” by Eat This, Not That! and one of the country’s “Hottest Start Up Fast Casuals” by QSR. With domestic franchises, the brand is making significant strides in key markets, introducing decadent treats to new bakeries in Northern and Central California, West Texas, and South Florida. Notably, these ventures are led by dynamic, women-owned franchise groups, exemplifying Sprinkles' commitment to empowerment and inclusivity.
Working closely with international franchise partners SPC Samlip, known for successfully bringing American brands to Asia, and Bridgeport Investments, Sprinkles has plans to open over 18 bakeries internationally starting in 2024. Stateside, the brand will work with women-owned companies including RIC Operating Group, Celebration Cupcakes and WTX Cupcakes, LLC as it continues to expand local franchises across the U.S.
