Talon Cyber Security Recognized in Two Gartner® Emerging Tech Reports

Industry Reports Position Enterprise Browsers and Extensions as Integral Components of Modern Security Strategies

TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Talon Cyber Security, a pioneer and leader in enterprise browser technology, today announced it was recognized in two separate Gartner reports. One report covers emerging technologies in the security space, and the other highlights how organizations can deliver specific security service edge (SSE) capabilities via enterprise browsers and extensions.

According to Gartner, “enterprise browsers and extensions provide an alternate, lightweight method for delivering many of the features and benefits that existing security technologies provide today.” The firm goes on to state that “these technologies offer a growing set of capabilities at the last-mile edge of security — that is, from within the browser. These security or productivity services offer enforcement and control wherever a user goes (such as when working from home or for mobile use cases), ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.”1

In assessing enterprise browser technology within the context of the security vendor landscape, Gartner notes that “enterprise browsers and extensions integrate several lightweight security service edge (SSE) capabilities typically found in stand-alone secure web gateway (SWG), cloud access security broker (CASB) and zero trust network access (ZTNA) offerings.”2

“For us at Talon, it is an honor to be named by Gartner in these reports,” said Ofer Ben-Noon, co-founder and CEO, Talon Cyber Security. “When we started Talon, our goal was to ensure that customers could enforce security at the very point where their users interact with applications and data: the browser. We see this recognition is a clear testament of how far the enterprise browser market has come and serves as proof that we are executing on our vision and technology leadership.”
