SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) recently recognized Honor’s CEO and co-founder, Seth Sternberg, as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2023 at its Builders and Innovators Summit in Healdsburg, California. Goldman Sachs selected Sternberg from leaders across multiple industries to be honored at the two-day event.
Under Sternberg’s leadership, Honor is on a mission to expand the world’s capacity to care. The company uses its AI-enabled Honor Care Platform to deliver quality care to older adults at scale and meet the demand of 93% of U.S. adults age 55 and older who agree that aging in place is an important goal for them. Sternberg has grown Honor, and its home care brand, Home Instead, since its founding in 2014 to support more than 100,000 Care Professionals and 100,000 clients around the world.
“I am honored to be recognized by Goldman Sachs for entrepreneurship alongside other visionary leaders,” said Seth Sternberg. “One of society’s biggest challenges and also biggest opportunities is caring for aging loved ones on their terms, and our dedicated team is tackling this issue head on by creating and evolving our technology to professionalize the caregiving work experience, strengthen relationships between Care Pros and older adults and streamline and scale care operations. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead this team as we remain committed to revolutionizing and scaling how we care for older adults.”
Sternberg is a veteran entrepreneur. Prior to Honor, he was the co-founder and CEO of Meebo, which brought instant messaging to the web and reached close to half the internet population in the U.S. Meebo was acquired by Google, where Seth became a Product Director working on the Google Identity Platform, and then within GoogleX.
“We’re delighted to recognize Seth Sternberg as one of the most exceptional entrepreneurs of 2023,” said David Solomon, Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs. “Like everyone in this year’s class, Seth has been a visionary in their field, pushing forward innovation and redefining markets. We are excited to harness Goldman’s convening power to bring together these dynamic leaders and hear their insights.”
This recognition comes on the heels of Sternberg being named an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2023 Bay Area Award Winner. Honor also won Best In-Home Healthcare Platform in the 2023 MedTech Breakthrough Awards program, and Home Instead, an Honor company, was named one of Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Global Franchises for 2023 and was named a best buy in franchising by Franchise Times as part of its annual Zor Awards program.
