Accuris Launches with Mission to Accelerate Innovation for Engineering Workflows and Support the Vibrancy of the Engineering Community

Standalone company was previously part of S&P Global; now privately held by investment funds managed by KKR and Accuris employees

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--()--Accuris, a company long-known for accelerating innovation in engineering workflows and supporting the vibrancy of the engineering community, today announced its official launch as a new standalone company. Accuris was formerly known as S&P Global’s Engineering Solutions division. The Company is valued for its standards content and workflow solutions like Engineering Workbench, Goldfire, Haystack and Parts Management Solutions.

Accuris helps engineering and technical professionals enhance their workflows – embedding data, technology, and insights to transform the way innovation comes to life. The Company also works closely with its Standards Development Organization (“SDO”) partners to support their non-profit mission of advancing global knowledge across engineering disciplines. Under its previous owners, including IHS and IHS Markit, Accuris has been an integral part of the engineering ecosystem for more than 60 years.

Accuris’ launch follows the close of the transaction between S&P Global and KKR, in which the Engineering Solutions business was sold to investment funds managed by KKR. As an independent, private company owned by KKR and Accuris employees, the Company enters a new era of growth with a renewed focus on its content partners, customers and people.

As our world faces unprecedented pressures across all industries, engineers and technical professionals shoulder the weight of not only creating solutions to address areas like energy transition and global health crises, but to do so in a faster, more sustainable way,” said Ken Honroth, Accuris CEO. “Innovation today relies heavily on large amounts of data collected, often without a trusted system in place to organize and make use of that data. This is where Accuris shines.”

We are particularly excited for this new chapter of the Company’s history,” said Webster Chua, Partner at KKR. “Derived from the themes of accuracy and precision, this new name speaks to more than half a century of providing trusted data, while balancing the sentiment of agility in innovation and discovery. We are eager to build Accuris to truly represent our customer and partner needs for many years to come.”
