Marmic Fire & Safety® Acquires 4 Fire Protection Companies in the First Quarter of 2023

JOPLIN, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Marmic Fire & Safety®, an HGGC company, welcomed 4 new fire protection companies serving Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, and Tennessee to its family. At each location, Marmic will broaden the number of services for customers who may have limited options for a fire alarm, fire sprinkler, or other fire suppression provider.

Paragould, AR - Having worked as a volunteer firefighter, Bill Tripp started Absolute Fire Protection with his wife Judith in 1997 to protect their community. They both received their fire extinguisher licenses and covered Paragould, AR, a town of about 30,000, later expanding their team to assist in the growing market.

For Judith Tripp, making the decision to bring in Marmic was easy as she explained, “We chose Marmic because of our working relationship in the past. We felt comfortable with them. It seemed like an easy decision.”

Olathe, KS - Kansas City Fire & Security has also joined Marmic. Brothers Alan and Tony Barrero, owners of KCFS, started their company in 2001 in Tony’s home. West Memphis, Arkansas - Marmic welcomed West Memphis Fire Extinguisher to its family. James Houston and his wife Lynn started the company 38 years ago, providing fire extinguisher service to both West Memphis, AR and Memphis, TN.

Mackinaw, IL - 13 years ago, Fred and Emily Lawrence started F.L. Sons Fire Equipment Company out of their home in Mackinaw, IL, and then eventually expanded their business to a new site.
