Island Achieves SOC 2 Type 2 Certification Just Four Months After Emerging from Stealth

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Island, the leader in the Enterprise Browser market, today announced that it has successfully completed a SOC 2 Type 2 compliance audit. The Island team worked with auditors from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to review The Enterprise Browser and Island Cloud platform, along with all security controls and practices. No deficiencies were found.

System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 examinations are done to provide independent analysis of an organization’s designs, practices, and controls. This is an internationally recognized standard that shows adherence to best practices and rigorous security controls. Enterprise customers rely on these third-party auditor reports to supplement their own research when considering critical technology investments.

“PwC works with companies of all sizes and in many industries globally to audit their SOC 2 reports,” said PwC Lior Mistriel, Digital Audit Partner. “It is not common to see a company in the early stages like Island is, investing the time and effort required to achieve this level of certifications. It speaks to the value Island places on delivering security and operational rigor to its customers.”

“From day one, we committed to investing in our people, process, and technology to uphold the highest standards in software development and security controls.” said Mike Fey, Island CEO and Co-founder. “We’re building products that our customers use every day to run their business and secure their most sensitive data. The SOC 2 audit is an opportunity for us to show our customers exactly how we’re delivering on our commitments to them.”
