ADA-Compliant Doorglass from ODL Makes Entryways Accessible for All

New Doorglass Increases Visibility for ADA-Compliant Doors

ZEELAND, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ODL, Inc., a leader in the building products industry with an emphasis in fenestration, announces the availability of new ADA Doorglass, ideal for multifamily dwellings and new construction. Available from both the ODL and Western Reflections brands, ADA Doorglass is designed for use in ADA-compliant doors, enabling builders to meet ADA standards that provide access for individuals with disabilities.

The Americans with Disabilities Act outlines building standards for doors, one of which is a 10-inch clearance at the bottom of the door. This new ADA Doorglass increases visibility and natural light, while still accounting for a 10” bottom rail.

Two different sizes, 22” x 60” and 22” x 76”, are available in the popular Evolve® frame with Low-E glass and in the impact-rated Severe Weather frame with Low-E+ laminated glass.

“The building and construction industry has a responsibility to understand physical accessibility in housing and to build residences that are accessible to all,” said Lou Ann Schafer, Sr. Corporate Product Manager at ODL, Inc. “These new doorglass sizes make compliance with ADA standards for doors easier while adding value to new construction and multifamily housing developments."
