HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IDPro®, an open, global non-profit association created to define, support and improve the digital identity profession, today announced the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Heather Vescent as Executive Director and President.
As owner and CEO of a boutique, strategic foresight company for more than fifteen years and a long-time volunteer with both the World Wide Web Consortium and the Association of Professional Futurists, Vescent has developed the necessary expertise to help IDPro achieve its goal of enabling a diverse, supportive, and inclusive identity community.
“The COVID-19 pandemic caused me to take a deeper look at my personal goals and what I hope to achieve in my professional career,” said Heather Vescent, Executive Director of IDPro. “I want my work to make a bigger impact and have more opportunities to mentor and influence others. This shift in perspective led me to my new role with IDPro and I am very excited to apply my business operational skills and help shape the rapidly growing identity industry.”
Vescent’s impressive skill set includes considerable experience and research in digital identity and cyber security. As Executive Director, she will support IDPro’s collective of volunteer working groups and the Board of Directors, allowing IDPro to expand its efforts to improve and enhance the role of identity professionals within the community.
