SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bitrise, the Mobile DevOps company whose platform maximizes the overall business impact of apps for the world’s most sophisticated mobile organizations, today announced the kick off of an international hiring wave, beginning with the expansion of its C-Suite. Filip Szymanski, former VP of SaaS at Hewlett Packard, will serve as the company’s new Chief Product Officer (CPO). Over the next 200 days, the Y-Combinator company will additionally hire 200 people across all teams: Customer Experience, Data, Design & UX, Engineering, Finance, Growth, People, Product, Sales, Security and Legal. All open positions are posted at Bitrise.io.
As the world’s reliance on smartphones grows, mobile organizations are under pressure to keep up with the market’s increasing demand for more updates, more often. Mobile-driven organizations struggle daily to overcome new complexities and change, leaving them constantly combating threats in the form of customer churn, shifting technical standards and fierce app store competition. All of these things directly influence mobile’s impact on businesses as a whole. For organizations where mobile accounts for a significant portion of revenue, the urgency to introduce new processes and technology to optimize app success is mission critical.
Bitrise is enabling thousands of companies, including market leaders like Rakuten, Virgin Mobile, Grindr, Compass and Philips Hue, to respond to this pressure. Through a single platform, companies can continuously manage mobile operations, automate all workflows and get insights into how different mobile features directly influence an app’s impact on company-specific KPIs.
With more than 100,000 developers relying on Bitrise to elevate mobile practices organization-wide, Bitrise appointed Filip Szymanski as Chief Product Officer to expand Bitrise’ portfolio of products and scale the company’s mobile devops platform. Szymanski will directly oversee the Product Management, UX Design and Research teams.
Bitrise is additionally seeking to fill 200 open roles across North America, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and India. Its expanding international footprint follows its recent expansion into Asia, with a new headquarters in Osaka, and will put it into a position to directly support mobile companies around the world.
“This current rate of acceleration we’re witnessing in mobile has been eight years in the making,” said Barnabas Birmacher, CEO of Bitrise. “Our role in mobile is not just to keep up with this pace, but to work 10 years ahead of it and build for the future we see. Filip’s experience developing forward-looking product strategies, along with our direct work with some of the world’s most influential mobile organizations will put us in a position to simplify today’s complexities and empower organizations to create applications that compete effectively with the super apps that are starting to dominate the app stores.”
Szymanski will lead Bitrise’s efforts to introduce simplicity into an overly complex mobile landscape, which threatens the success of visionary companies competing with those with more resources and talent.
“The need for constant innovation puts a huge strain on mobile organizations, as they search for ways to release at the speed consumers and app stores require,” said Szymanski. “My focus will be to identify companies’ emerging challenges and to execute a product strategy that solves the biggest obstacles that may slow them down.”
Szymanski previously served as VP of SaaS at Hewlett Packard, and VP of Product at both Cybereason and Turnitin. He spent the first 12 years of his career at Mercury Interactive where he began as a sales engineer and transitioned to product management.
