Clarify Health Welcomes Niall Brennan as Chief Analytics and Privacy Officer

Former Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Chief Data Officer will lead the company’s analytics and informatics strategy

Brennan’s appointment will drive continued innovation to Clarify’s industry-leading analytic solutions, advancing industry standards and establishing the precedent on how patient journey insights are shared between payers, providers, patients, and life sciences companies to improve care and power the adoption of value-based contracting models. Brennan will also lead the Clarify Health Institute, which will leverage the company’s data assets to provide thought leadership and partner with academics and policymakers across the industry.

Brennan is a seasoned executive with deep knowledge of data, analytics, and the healthcare industry. He joins Clarify from his prior role as President and CEO of the Health Care Cost Institute, and previously served as the Chief Data Officer at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid, where he led the Obama administration’s healthcare transparency efforts, built an advanced analytics enterprise, and played a key role in implementing numerous Affordable Care Act provisions, including the Qualified Entity Program and the Physician Payments Sunshine Act. He is a nationally recognized expert in healthcare policy, data transparency, and the use of healthcare data to enable and accelerate health system change.
