ECI Software Solutions Acquires INSEARCH

FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ECI Software Solutions, a leader in cloud-based business management solutions, today announced that it has acquired INSEARCH, a cloud-based construction business management solution. INSEARCH will become part of ECI’s Residential Home Construction Group, joining MarkSystems (ECI’s flagship ERP for residential home builders); Lasso CRM (ECI’s CRM solution built specifically for the homebuilding industry, including lead management, automated sales processes, email marketing and reporting capabilities); LotVue (ECI’s cloud-based lot inventory management system for marketing and operations and land developers); BuildTools (ECI’s cloud-based project management system for custom homebuilding and remodeling); and Bolt (ECI’s cloud-based construction business management solution for trade partners that includes contractor scheduling, project management, and estimating).

INSEARCH’S I.D.A. Pro Cloud software is a 2D and 3D visualization tool that provides home buyers with a compelling, interactive and transparent way to see and customize the home they’re buying. Acquiring INSEARCH allows ECI to strengthen and expand the existing integration between INSEARCH and MarkSystems so that its MarkSystems users have access to one of the best 2D and 3D interactive software experiences on the market. This enables ECI to offer an even better product experience to home builders and land developers across the United States, and help those builders and developers sell their inventory faster and offer their buyers a more customized experience.

To help accelerate INSEARCH’s growth, ECI plans on making investments in product development, go-to-market and customer success strategies.

“ECI’s mission is to provide the best cloud technology to our customers so they can grow,” said Trevor Gruenewald, CEO, ECI. “We’ve always been impressed with INSEARCH’s capabilities, which drove us to forge a strategic relationship with them in early 2021. After getting to know them better over the intervening months, we became even more confident that the INSEARCH team would be a valuable addition to our company and I.D.A. Pro Cloud would be a great complement to our other solutions.”

“Building a successful homebuilding business requires builders to not just be excellent at planning and building homes, but also at marketing and selling them,” said Scott Duman, president, Residential Home Construction Group at ECI. “At a time when the housing market is hotter than ever, buyers want a higher level of engagement throughout the entire process. Combining INSEARCH’s interactive technology with the building information in MarkSystems gives builders a visual way to showcase their homes and allow buyers to customize them while minimizing manual work on the builders’ part.”

“We’ve gotten to know ECI very well over the last year, and we’ve seen all of our joint customers benefit greatly from the increased engagement our integration has brought,” said Ryan Thornton, COO and co-founder of INSEARCH. “We’re passionate about providing our builders the tools necessary to close more sales and be more profitable, and we couldn’t be more excited to continue that mission as part of ECI.”

The deal closed on November 9, and terms were not disclosed. To learn more about ECI’s complete suite of solutions, visit www.ECISolutions.com.
