STIIIZY Solidifies Position as #1 Cannabis Retailer & Brand in California With Opening of 20th Store in Pacheco

PACHECO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--STIIIZY marked the opening of its latest retail store in Pacheco, CA on Saturday, October 16, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured city officials, food trucks and more.

For Shryne Group, the vertically integrated company behind STIIIZY, the Pacheco store represents the 20th open retail operations in California, the biggest cannabis market in the world. This comes on the heels of market research firm BDSA crowning STIIIZY as the #1 brand in California and the #3 selling US brand overall.

It’s been a meteoric rise for the Los Angeles born company. From one shop and 150 employees in 2019, to 20 shops and over 2,500 employees today, Shryne’s growth can be tied primarily to two factors. One, the cult-like following it’s built around STIIIZY's lifestyle brand, in particular its signature line of pods. And two, its commitment to making high-quality cannabis accessible to the 60% of California cities that still don’t allow cannabis retailers even four years after prohibition repeal, leaving millions without direct access to regulated cannabis and pushing them into the unregulated market.

“Our goal at Shryne and STIIIZY is to bring safe and affordable cannabis to every Californian,” said Shryne Group CEO Jon Avidor. “And we believe that if we’re successful in our mission, STIIIZY will someday be synonymous with cannabis in the same way that Nike is synonymous with shoes and Red Bull is synonymous with action sports.”

As both the first dispensary in the city of Pacheco and one of only a small number of dispensaries in the entire Central Contra Costa County region, this new location exemplifies that commitment to access and will immediately bring 60+ jobs to the area. The presence of city officials at the opening signals a continued trend towards cities recognizing cannabis’ transformative potential and working collaboratively with cannabis companies to positively impact the community.

“This store isn’t just about Pacheco. It’s about giving everyone in Concord and Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill and beyond the high-quality cannabis products and experiences they had to drive an hour to get before,” said José Pecho, VP of Community and Government Affairs at Shryne and a 40 year resident of Contra Costa County. “We want to make walking into a STIIIZY store as easy and enjoyable as visiting the Sunvalley or Veranda malls.”

STIIIZY Pacheco (state license number: C10-0000889-LIC) is located at 100 1st Ave, North (formerly 5753 Pacheco Boulevard) Pacheco, CA 94553 (Contra Costa County). Hours of operation are 10 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday and 10 AM to 8 PM on Sundays. Customers can order from the store online at weedmaps.com and visit ShryneGroup.com for the latest on the company’s developments.
