H Code Appoints Adrian Whant as Vice President of Marketing

This new appointment continues H Code’s strategic growth initiatives to strengthen its brand development and implement new product launches

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--H Code, the largest Hispanic digital media company in the U.S., today announces the appointment of Adrian Whant as Vice President of Marketing. Whant will use his expertise developing and launching large-scale strategic initiatives to connect with multicultural audiences by leading media strategies while also working to progress H Code’s mission to build a future of media and advertising where everyone is authentically represented.

Powered by its proprietary data and research platform, H Code has demonstrated great success in tapping into Hispanic consumers with unique scale and with the authenticity that resonates most with this audience. Whant joins H Code as the company prepares for its next stage of growth alongside its newly launched entity, B Code, which is focused on developing solutions for advertisers and agencies to reach, inform and connect with Black audiences at scale across the digital landscape.

In his new role, Whant will collaborate with vertical teams and senior leadership across the organization to develop brand strategy and management, refine advertising solutions, new products and vertical launches, and new trade and PR initiatives.

“Adrian's deep-rooted experience leading tailored multicultural marketing campaigns will keep H Code’s strategy operating at a high performance, especially as we elevate our research and execution of targeted media solutions” said Jennifer White, Chief Operating Officer of H Code. “Adrian’s expertise towards understanding and connecting with underrepresented communities is a highly sought after skill set and we’re confident he will help drive forward a new level of growth at H Code.”

With over 15 years of creative, strategic and media-tech marketing leadership, Whant is skilled in creating revenue-generating advertising sales strategies and marketing solutions for media brands across digital and linear ad products, programmatic, creator/influencer, and video streaming platforms.

“In today’s media landscape there’s plenty of room for advertisers to better understand and connect with multicultural audiences by paying close attention to behavioral data, passion points, culturally-focused intelligence, and steering clear from stereotypes” said Whant. “Throughout my career, I’ve learned valuable lessons, including the importance of listening, and I’m delighted to help H Code dive deeper in different communities and put the right products and services in front of audiences in an authentic manner that will allow brands to discover new consumers and continue to achieve exponential growth.”

In his most recent role, Whant served as Head of Global Marketing and Brand Partnerships at BroadbandTV, a media-tech company that distributes, manages, and monetizes creators' and publishers' content on YouTube and social media platforms. There, he created their first monetizable multicultural advertising program “Voices of Color '' that allows brands to reach Black, Latinx, and Asian audiences and creators on YouTube. He has also served as Head of Global Monetization Strategy and Brand Solutions at ABS-CBN Corporation where he led a winning response to the 2020 Census RFP calling for a multi-channel awareness campaign targeting Filipino audiences in the U.S. Whant also has a deep experience in advising media organizations in ad sales marketing strategy as an Independent Consulting Service for content studios and consulting firms like PwC, and Market Analysts JP Morgan and Fidelity. Before this, Whant held leadership roles at NBCUniversal Media where he helped exceed digital ad revenue goals from 2010-2016 for their Hispanic Group, with a $55M digital portfolio in 2016.
