BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tausight announced today that Frank Nydam has joined the team as chief development officer (CDO). Nydam will be responsible for driving strategic business development and leading go-to-market initiatives, with a shared goal of accelerating Tausight’s presence within the healthcare market as the company undergoes a period of expansion, fueled by increasing demand to safeguard protected health information (PHI) at the point of risk. He joins Tausight after 18 years as a VMware senior executive, where he was instrumental in helping establish and scale the company’s healthcare strategy. Following the appointment of Paymon Farazi as chief product officer (CPO), Nydam joins a growing roster of healthcare IT experts on Tausight’s executive team.
“The most important thing for a healthcare system to do is to secure its clinical workflow,” said David Ting, co-founder and CTO of Tausight. “Hospitals and healthcare organizations committed to delivering patient-centered care and exceptional service need trusted advisors and solutions to help ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of patients’ PHI. Frank understands the need to secure the clinical workflow and is committed to helping healthcare IT teams extend protection of PHI wherever it may be while providing patient-centered care in our increasingly distributed environment.”
“As a healthcare IT expert with a proven track record of success, Frank has a sophisticated understanding of the acute challenges and demands facing healthcare CIOs and CISOs,” said Dave Dickinson, CEO of Tausight. “Frank has demonstrated his commitment to solving problems in healthcare IT again and again throughout his career. We’re thrilled to have Frank on board to help Tausight deliver on its mission to better secure PHI within healthcare clinical workflows.”
Nydam’s experience helping healthcare organizations use technology to empower both their employees and patients is strengthened by the various leadership positions he has held. During a career at VMware that spanned nearly two decades, he served in various roles with increasing responsibility – including vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) VMware Healthcare, several key healthcare sales and engineering positions, and most recently, vice president global healthcare alliances. Nydam founded VMware’s first industry vertical (healthcare), and established and led the company’s business development and joint go-to-market solutions with an ecosystem of respected healthcare partners.
In addition, Nydam was invited to the White House to help launch the NIST cybersecurity framework for healthcare. He previously served on the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Foundation Board of Directors and chair of the Chime Partner Education Summit (CPES), a program that brings together CIOs and industry vendor-partners to collaborate, share knowledge and best practices, and culminates in the achievement of an industry certification.
“Healthcare breaches are on the rise, and CIOs and CISOs are under enormous pressure to keep PHI and other confidential data protected, while ensuring excellent patient care,” said Nydam. “This challenge grows increasingly difficult in the modern digital landscape as healthcare deploys new tools and technologies to support remote campuses and clinicians. I am passionate about helping healthcare CIOs and CISOs navigate today’s unpredictable, complex digital environment and I am excited to be joining Tausight as it enters a period of extraordinary growth.”
