TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SoftwareReviews, a division of IT research and advisory firm Info-Tech Research Group, has published its 2021 SD-WAN Data Quadrant Awards, naming five vendors as gold medalists. The following vendors are leaders according to the feedback provided by their end-users via SoftwareReviews’ comprehensive online survey. Vendors are rated on product features, vendor capabilities, and the relationship with their software partner:
- Fortinet
- Cradlepoint
- Adaptiv Networks
- Nuage Networks
- Aryaka
What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different?
The study involves gathering intelligence on user satisfaction with both product features and the experience with the vendor. Aggregated emotional response ratings are included in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation to create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product – all from the software users’ point of view. SoftwareReviews calls this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.
“Businesses are agile, dynamic, lean and innovative. The network is not. Something needs to be done – and right now. SD-WAN is the most beneficial wide area networking technology the enterprise has had access to in 10 years. Capable of delivering immediate business value in a very tangible hard dollar way, it has a host of additional operational benefits, but most importantly it is a proving ground for IT operations. The next-gen network is going to require coding skills rather than cabling skills. It will be described by its policies rather than its architecture,” said John Annand, research lead, Info-Tech Research Group. “SD-WAN isn’t magic. But it is a very powerful tool purpose built to let IT control enterprise resources while still enabling business leadership to explore and plunder a brave new network centric world.”
Fortinet, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +94, scored top product in many areas, exceeding user expectations in breadth of features and ease of implementation. Cradlepoint, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +97, ranked strong on ease of IT administration.
Adaptiv Networks, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +98, scored high on ease of troubleshooting. Nuage Networks, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +90, excelled in vendor support and dynamic routing. Aryaka, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +92, performed well in quality of service and simple administration.
In general, SD-WAN users were most satisfied with ease of network administration across the Wide Area Network – and were most dissatisfied with the lack of ability to integrate with other systems.
