TEL AVIV, Israel & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transmit Security, the Identity Experience company, announced today that it has been selected to join the board of the FIDO Alliance, the leading industry standards organization working to further the use of innovative technology to reduce the world's reliance on passwords. Eldan Ben-Haim, CTO of Transmit Security, will serve on the board and collaborate with FIDO and industry leaders who share Transmit Security’s commitment to creating secure, agile, and user-friendly authentication.
Passwords remain in use despite the overwhelming consensus that they should be replaced. As our world continues to digitally transform, the need for a passwordless experience for both security and ease-of-use is imperative. Transmit Security was founded to offer enterprises a truly secure passwordless experience for both their customers and employees. With organizations losing billions of dollars over poor and overly complicated authentication experiences, the need for secure, yet simple identity methodologies that provide a smooth user experience is higher than ever before.
“Through innovative technology and partners such as FIDO, Transmit Security has created identity solutions that are agile, scalable, usable and most importantly secure,” said Eldan Ben-Haim, CTO, Transmit Security. “Our technology incorporating FIDO2 enables us to offer a solution to ring in the end of poor customer experience and the beginning of a world of seamless and secure password-free authentication. As a member of the FIDO Alliance Board of Directors, we have the unique opportunity to work closely with the Alliance and other industry leaders to influence the future roadmap of the FIDO protocols and the way they're leveraged by organizations.”
“We are pleased to have Transmit Security join the FIDO Alliance board of directors to help guide our efforts to reduce the world’s reliance on passwords,” said Christina Hulka, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, FIDO. “With their wide customer base and deep security industry expertise, we believe Transmit’s valuable contributions will move us closer to a world where simpler, strong authentication is available on a global basis.”
"We're truly at the edge of a new era in identity digitalization,” said Mickey Boodaei, CEO and Co-Founder, Transmit Security. “The FIDO protocols are one of three triggers that are going to completely change the face of consumer and workforce authentication over the next few years. This is a huge shift from legacy authentication and identity management architectures, but the business benefits are so profound that all enterprises will get there with no exceptions."
Eldan Ben-Haim, CTO at Transmit Security, is a well-recognized security and identity executive with over 20 years of industry experience. He is a graduate of one of the most prestigious cyber programs in the Israeli military and a tech leader in the field of authentication and fraud prevention. Over the course of the past five years at Transmit Security Eldan has served as a trusted advisor to some of the largest financial institutions and merchants in the world. Prior to that, Eldan was one of the co-founders of Trusteer (now part of IBM Security) specializing in account takeover prevention.
About the FIDO Alliance
The FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance, www.fidoalliance.org, was formed in July 2012 to address the lack of interoperability among strong authentication technologies, and remedy the problems users face with creating and remembering multiple usernames and passwords. The FIDO Alliance is changing the nature of authentication with standards for simpler, stronger authentication that define an open, scalable, interoperable set of mechanisms that reduce reliance on passwords. FIDO Authentication is stronger, private, and easier to use when authenticating to online services.
