Spectrum Solutions Mourns the Death of Dr. Andrew Brooks

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The entire team at Spectrum Solutions was met with profound sadness when we heard our dear friend, admired colleague, and respected leader Dr. Andrew Brooks had suddenly passed away last week. Today we honored this great man, his family, and his as legacy as he was laid to rest in Manalapan, New Jersey.

Aside from being the CEO of Infinity BiologiX IBX (formerly known as RUCDR Infinite Biologics) Dr. Brooks also served as Chief Science Officer for Spectrum Solutions. We will be forever grateful for his direction and the incredible relationship he created between our two organizations. He was a true industry pioneer doing what he loved every day and will be so deeply missed. His insight and vision have made some of the most incredible discoveries that not only impact the lives of millions of people around the world today but will resonate for many generations to come.

It was through Dr. Brooks’ research and tireless dedication that he developed the world’s first saliva-based test for COVID-19. His effort cannot be understated, nor the impact accurately measured. His diagnostic testing innovation was immediately validated by the FDA receiving the first Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for saliva-based testing. His contribution uniquely and immediately filled a critical need during a global crisis to benefit our families, our nation, and tens of millions of strangers around the globe. His innovative direction has served to unlock the true potential of saliva as a powerful, accurate, and non-invasive molecular diagnostic tool throughout the medical world.

Bill Phillips, COO of Spectrum Solutions, said, “It is rare indeed to find a person who selflessly and passionately dedicates their life to saving the lives of others. Andy not only earned every shred of respect and accolade due to him for his professional achievements, he also prized every handshake, hug, thank-you, and smile he received along the way. We will certainly miss his leadership and brilliant mind, and deeply mourn the loss of our dear friend.”

Our hearts are filled with appreciation and love for all the work Andy has done for Spectrum, for the world, and for all our future generations.
