Pharmacy Times® Announces the Addition of The Association of Community Cancer Centers to its Strategic Alliance Partnership Program

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--Pharmacy Times®, the leading multimedia resource for pharmacy professionals, adds the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) to its Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) program.

“We are very grateful for this amazing opportunity to partner with ACCC,” said John Hydrusko, vice president of Pharmacy & Healthcare Communications, LLC, publisher of Pharmacy Times®. “ACCC is recognized as the premier provider of resources for the entire oncology care team, and we look forward to helping them promote the entire continuum of quality cancer care for their patients and communities with our platforms and resources.”

ACCC is a powerful community of more than 28,000 multidisciplinary practitioners and 2,100 hospitals and practices nationwide that promote quality cancer care. Members rely on ACCC for education and advocacy support in adapting and responding to complex changes and challenges in the delivery of quality cancer care. ACCC provides resources on operations and management for programs and practices, reimbursement issues, policy and regulatory changes at the state and national levels, trends in cancer care, integrating new technologies and therapies and more.

“This is a terrific opportunity for ACCC to enhance the visibility of our Oncology Pharmacy Education Network (OPEN) which provides knowledge and know-how to help navigate the accelerating course of change in oncology pharmacy—clinically, operationally, fiscally, and programmatically. OPEN addresses real-world oncology pharmacy management issues such as reimbursement, distribution, inventory management, and effective integration of oral oncolytics, biosimilars, and immunotherapies for cancer,” said Leigh Boehmer, Pharm.D., BCOP, medical director, ACCC.

The Pharmacy Times® SAP program is a community of advocacy groups and medical associations and institutions that foster collaboration and an open exchange of information among trusted peers for the benefit of patients and their families. As part of this joint effort, Pharmacy Times® will work with ACCC to inform and educate practicing pharmacists in Directions in Oncology Pharmacy™ and Directions in Health Systems™ publications.
