GCOM Software Announces Rahul Puri as New Chief Product Officer

Puri brings decades of state and local government technology expertise to deliver leading-edge client solutions

ALBANY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GCOM Software, a leading provider of tailored technology solutions for state and local governments nationwide, today announced the hire of Rahul Puri as the company’s new Chief Product Officer. As Chief Product Officer, Puri is responsible for ensuring that GCOM's product portfolio meets customer and market demands. He works across teams to build business cases, roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and platforms that enable GCOM's customers to be successful.

Puri has extensive experience building technology products for state and local government, and brings more than 20 years of experience working with organizations around the globe to lead innovation in technology strategy, digital transformation and product management in industries spanning public sector, healthcare and media.

Prior to joining GCOM, Puri led teams at the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunication (DOITT) in New York City, which designed and implemented numerous cornerstone enterprise platforms, including the city’s first integrated collaboration tool that allowed NYPD’s Special Victims Unit and the Administration of Children Services to share critical data about child abuse. As the former Chief Software Architect for the City of New York’s Health and Human Services, Puri architected and implemented systems that helped redefine the use of technology and data in health and human services agencies in New York City.

Puri’s experience extends internationally as well, as he spent four years in Madrid as the Director of Digital Innovation for Grupo Prisa, the world’s largest Spanish-speaking media company. He also served as the Chief Technology Officer of Magine, a digital streaming media company based in Stockholm, where he was responsible for the architecture, buildout, and operations of Magine’s global platform.

Puri received a B.S. in Chemistry from Binghamton University and an MBA from IE Business School and Brown University.
