CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Medsphere Systems Corporation, the leading provider of affordable and interoperable healthcare IT platform solutions, today announced that the company’s ChartLogic division has added a telehealth component to the ChartLogic electronic health record (EHR) for ambulatory practices. In the midst of the COVID-19 nationwide outbreak, the company is making ChartLogic Telehealth available to both existing and new clients.
Integrated with ChartLogic, not a bolt-on module, ChartLogic Telehealth enables clinicians to launch video rooms from within the ChartLogic Patient Portal that patients can then join for a virtual evaluation. Patients can easily log in to the Portal and join their physicians in active, secure remote environments.
“At this traumatic time in America’s history, we must gather our resources and band together to keep COVID-19 from becoming even more catastrophic,” said Medsphere President and CEO Irv Lichtenwald. “Using ChartLogic Telehealth, healthcare professionals can continue to see patients without concern for their personal health or that of their families. Telehealth also gives patients a rapid, reliable way to obtain a professional medical opinion, whether it be related to COVID-19-like symptoms or other challenges.”
ChartLogic Telehealth and the Patient Portal operate in a web browser, so neither patients nor doctors are required to download a separate application or program. Telehealth works seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices.
