Butterfly Flexible Seating Solutions to Acquire Napaway
COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Napaway Coach has announced that it is being acquired by longtime partner Butterfly Flexible Seating Solutions (Butterfly Seating), bringing together the company behind the Butterfly-Motorcoach convertible seating system and the U.S. premium sleeper coach brand that helped bring the concept to market.
"This acquisition allows us to bring our product, engineering and customer support capabilities together under one organization while maintaining the close, high-touch support our U.S. customers and operator partners value.”

The acquisition marks the next phase in Butterfly’s expansion across the North American motorcoach and railway market and further integrates its growing road, rail, and air seating operations.
Since its launch in the United States in 2022, Butterfly Seating has introduced a new approach to premium coach travel, combining two high-comfort passenger seats with a private lounge and a full lie-flat sleeper suite in a single flexible seating system. The company’s patented convertible design allows operators to adapt their vehicles for different passenger and service requirements without changing the underlying seating hardware.
“We’re delighted to welcome Napaway into the Butterfly family,” said Lars Rinne, Co-Founder and CEO of Butterfly Seating. “Napaway has been an important partner in bringing Butterfly-Motorcoach from an innovative seating concept into reliable commercial service in North America. This acquisition allows us to bring our product, engineering and customer support capabilities together under one organization while maintaining the close, high-touch support our U.S. customers and operator partners value.”
Butterfly-Motorcoach is designed specifically for over-the-road motorcoach applications in the United States and Canada. The 3-in-1 convertible seating can be configured as two premium seats, a private lounge or a 78-inch lie-flat bed, giving operators the flexibility to use the same vehicle for daytime services and sleeper operations including sports and team travel, executive travel, entertainment touring, and premium charter services.
As part of the transition, Napaway will no longer directly book or operate charter services. Butterfly will instead assume and continue to develop the remaining North American operations, including Butterfly-Motorcoach suite sales, operator and charter-market development, concept marketing, and parts and service support.
Daniel Aronov, CEO of Napaway, and members of the existing team will remain with the organization to support the transition and the continued development of the North American business.
“This acquisition represents an important next step for the Butterfly-Motorcoach concept and for premium sleeper coach travel in North America,” said Aronov. “We are excited to build on what we have created with Butterfly and to continue supporting our operator partners and customers through this next phase.”
The companies do not expect any disruption to operator relationships or existing charter customer commitments. Customers and operator partners with questions regarding existing arrangements, upcoming bookings or Butterfly-Motorcoach suite purchases should contact their Napaway sales representative or info@butterflyseating.com. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
