Reliance Matrix Launches Enhanced Actual Return to Work (ARTW) Process

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Reliance Matrix, a technology-driven employee benefits and absence management company, has released an enhancement to its market leading Text-Back technology. The new Actual Return to Work (ARTW) process streamlines the way employees on leave confirm their actual return-to-work date, making it more efficient and convenient for supervisors, HR partners and the employees themselves.

Key Features of the New ARTW Process Include:

  • Two-Way Text Messaging: Employees will receive two opportunities to confirm their return-to-work date or provide a new return-to-work date along with a reason for the change.
  • Automated Email Notifications: Employers will receive automated emails when there is no response from the employee after the second text attempt, and as a courtesy to inform them of the employee's response.

“Reliance Matrix was among the first to introduce SMS text technology into the employee leave process, keeping employees and HR partners informed at key stages of the absence journey,” said Chris Smith, Vice President Product Solutions. “This new enhancement helps ensure the actual return-to-work transition takes place without a hitch.”

Today 97% of Americans own a cell phone, and overwhelmingly prefer text communications as a primary contact method. In fact, 96% of employees supported in the new program have elected to receive text message updates and communications. Leveraging this real-time connectivity and employee preference removes back-and-forth voicemails, misdirected emails and frustrating delays often seen in traditional absence claim communications.

“In our latest enhancement, both employees and designated employer contacts have the opportunity to provide and, if necessary, revise information specific to the employee’s return date and work assignment. The process simultaneously improves the quality of the information collected and removes the time burden from each party,” Smith said.
