HOPEWELL, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Anchor Room Bar & Grill, a cherished community landmark since 1940, is set to reopen its doors on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM, following a stunning renovation. A cornerstone of Hopewell’s history, the Anchor Room has been lovingly restored to honor its more than 85 years of continuous operation while embracing a vibrant future.
An official ‘Ribbon Cutting’ will take place on December 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM, which is being coordinated by Becky McDonough, CEO of the Hopewell/Prince George Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier this year, the property was acquired by Delta Citation, a private equity and real estate holding company committed to preserving the legacy of iconic spaces. Recognizing the profound significance of the Anchor Room to the Hopewell community, Ray Miller, principal of Delta Citation, made it a priority to retain the establishment’s character while modernizing its facilities.
