Suki Establishes Program to AI-Enable Electronic Health Records

MEDENT, Azalea Health join Suki strategic partners athenahealth and MEDITECH, adopting AI Capabilities to Improve User Experience and Patient Care

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--()--Suki, the leader in artificial intelligence (AI) technology for healthcare, today announced two new partnerships with electronic health records (EHR) vendors, MEDENT and Azalea Health, who will each use Suki’s AI engine Suki Platform to directly embed AI capabilities within their respective solutions, enhancing user experience and improving patient care. The two companies join existing strategic partners athenahealth and MEDITECH as members of Suki’s EHR program, established for EHRs looking to add innovative AI features quickly and with minimal development effort.

“As the AI leader in healthcare and the only company to offer an AI engine to power technology solutions, Suki aims to make AI accessible and beneficial to all. We are committed to supporting clinicians across their entire workflow, and have done so by creating assistive AI that is responsible, interoperable, and customizable,” said Punit Soni, Founder and CEO of Suki. “Our partnerships with major EHR players like MEDITECH, athenahealth, MEDENT, and Azalea, are a testament to how our cutting-edge technology seamlessly integrates into diverse healthcare settings, enhancing existing capabilities, empowering providers, and improving patient care nationwide.”

Suki’s partnership with Azalea Health will enable both companies to further their missions of providing AI solutions for historically underserved healthcare providers. Azalea Health is a cloud-based EHR supporting ambulatory and inpatient care for the rural market. Embedding Suki’s ambient listening capability into the Azalea Health EHR will improve Azalea’s user experience, eliminating unnecessary manual clinician action and providing time for patient-doctor interaction.

"We are thrilled to partner with Suki in advancing our commitment to rural healthcare providers," said Brian Kenah, CTO of Azalea Health. "This collaboration significantly advances our AI strategy that we began executing at the beginning of the year designed to enhance care efficiency and outcomes, and brings a new wave of innovation to underserved areas. Together, we aim to empower providers with tools that enhance efficiency and patient care, setting a new standard for rural health solutions."

Suki’s partnership with MEDENT, a multi-specialty EHR with over 11,000 providers, helps the EHR further its commitment to improving its current user experience. Suki’s AI capabilities including ambient documentation, coding, answering questions, and more will be embedded directly into MEDENT’s solution, relieving the clinicians from the cognitive burden of administrative tasks so they can focus on patient care.

“Integrating ambient documentation directly into MEDENT’s software is a game-changer for our users, enabling them to streamline workflows and enhance the accuracy of clinical notes in real time. We selected Suki as our partner because of their expertise in voice-enabled AI and reputation of delivering high-quality, intuitive tools for healthcare providers,” said Barbara Cuthbert, VP of Sales and Marketing of MEDENT. “Deeply integrating Suki AI within MEDENT reflects our dedication to creating a seamless, highly functional experience for our users, allowing them to leverage advanced AI capabilities without disrupting their natural workflow.”

The establishment of the EHR program follows Suki’s recent partnership announcement with Zoom, the AI-first work platform and leading telehealth platform. Zoom chose Suki Platform to power its ambient clinical documentation capabilities, supporting Zoom telehealth and in-person visits, to reduce documentation overhead.
