SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In its second acquisition of the year, Atwell has acquired Karins and Associates, an engineering, surveying, and planning firm with locations in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. This acquisition continues to strengthen Atwell’s resources and capabilities in the Mid-Atlantic, building upon the acquisitions of Bay Engineering in 2023 and Ben Dyer Associates in 2022. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Operating in the Mid-Atlantic since 1973, Karins prides itself on serving a diverse group of clients with their more than 50 employees. The addition of Karins will expand Atwell’s engineering and surveying services within land development, transportation, water resources, and public works throughout the region.

This acquisition follows a year of expansion through organic growth and strategic acquisitions across the United States for Atwell. The acquisition of Karins follows Atwell’s most recent acquisitions of Banks Engineering, an engineering and surveying firm based in Fort Myers, Florida; Summit Engineering, a civil engineering and land surveying firm in Heber City, Utah; and Mead Gilman & Associates, a land surveying firm located in Woodinville, Washington.
