Mercedes-Benz Reports Q1 2021 Sales of 78,256 Vehicles

ATLANTA--()--Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported Q1 2021 sales of 78,256 Mercedes-Benz models. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz Vans recorded Q1 sales of 11,659 units bringing MBUSA to a grand total of 89,915 vehicles for the quarter, an increase of 19.5% over the comparable period last year.

“Mercedes-Benz is off to a strong start, backed by strong demand for our model lineup and supported by the outstanding commitment of our dealer partners to deliver for our customers,” said Dimitris Psillakis, President and CEO of MBUSA. “We look forward to accelerated growth with the launch of the all-new S-Class, S-Class Maybach and all-electric EQS – powerful additions that allow us to further flex our muscles at the top end of our portfolio.”

Mercedes-Benz volume leaders in Q1 included the GLE, GLC and E-Class/CLS model lines. The GLE led totals with 16,668 units followed by GLC with sales of 15,569. The E-Class/CLS rounded out the top three with 8,199 units. Our diverse lineup of SUVs accounted for 69% of our total sales volume during Q1.

Q1 sales of Mercedes-AMG high-performance models totaled 11,690 units, an increase of 81.9% over the same period last year.

Separately, Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) models recorded sales of 34,995 vehicles during the first quarter of 2021, an increase of 9.0% versus Q1 2020.
