HOBOKEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Academy Bus, the largest privately owned and operated transportation company in the U.S., today announced that it has selected Delos, a New York-based wellness real estate and technology company, to equip its motor coaches with “Delos powered by Healthway” advanced air purification units. The new technology is already being installed on Academy’s charter bus fleet, with plans to add the advanced air purification technology to the balance of Academy’s fleet in the coming months.
Headquartered in Hoboken, NJ, Academy Bus currently operates motor coaches up and down the East Coast from operations centers stretching from Boston to Miami, including charter and group tour services as well as daily commuter service. This collaboration is a critical step in helping safeguard the health and well-being for mass transit commuters, as offices and schools reopen across the country.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and leading research organizations recognize that small aerosolized particles that carry the SARS-CoV-2 virus can remain suspended in air and can persist in aerosol form for long periods of time indoors.
