The appointments build on Origami’s existing expertise in healthcare, where the firm is seeing a steady rise in demand for its technology-based risk management solutions.

Makki has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare-related risk consulting, which includes providing strategic advisory services focused on process improvement strategies, systems integration, and the implementation of technology solutions. Previously, he was a senior vice president and director of Healthcare Client Services at Marsh ClearSight. In addition to his responsibilities for healthcare client satisfaction, engagement, and growth, Makki helped establish the firm’s best practices for client relationship management and sales demonstrations. He earned a B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Michigan.
Schwacke, a senior healthcare risk management professional, has more than 20 years of experience in sales, account management, product design and implementation of RMIS solutions for the healthcare industry. Previously, he was a senior vice president and Healthcare Practice leader for Marsh ClearSight. Among his management responsibilities, he led the design and development of specific products and services for healthcare clients. Earlier, he was vice president of Implementation for Peminic Inc., guiding delivery of the firm’s healthcare patient safety and claims administration products. A member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), he earned a B.A. degree in speech communication from the University of Maryland and holds a number of project management certifications.
