INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pondurance, a leader in managed detection and response security services, today announced the launch of a referral partner program that enables managed IT service providers (MSPs) to augment their offerings with managed security services to help protect their customers against cyberattacks.
Pondurance security analysts act as extended team members of partnering MSPs, collaboratively supporting their customers with a hands-on approach to proactively hunt, identify, and remediate any cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. Partners can also extend their offerings with Pondurance’s consulting services, which address compliance, information security, and business continuity.
“Cybersecurity is an attractive market for managed IT service providers, but building out a security services offering can be time-consuming and costly,” said Mike Childs, sales operations manager, Pondurance. “They also find that securing the resources and expertise to evaluate and investigate the thousands of security alerts generated by security tools is a huge challenge because of the growing cybersecurity talent shortage. Our partner program enables MSPs to quickly and easily deliver cybersecurity protection for their customers.”
The program is launching with the initial objective of 10 partners representing major U.S. regions. Current partner firms include Advanticom, Virtusa, and KSM Consulting. Partners are selected based on a number of criteria including annual revenue, client type and size, and workplace culture.
“To be successful in the managed IT services industry, you must be able to offer comprehensive and capable security services,” said Brian Conboy, president of Advanticom, one of the charter members of the referral partner program. “As MSPs, we want to believe we can do it all, but that is far from the truth regarding security. It takes years to develop the capacity to even evaluate security expertise, and then more time and resources to operationalize that expertise. Running a mature operation means knowing what you can do and what you should partner for. We investigated internal development, and identified that the risks were too great, the impacts too big, and the costs too high to do it right. During our three years of collaboration with Pondurance, we were able to scale our business with minimal risk, get more clients, increase our profits, and learn so much along the way. We are certain they are the partner we want to work with for years to come. Pondurance is the full package of security, mature operations, and mutual benefit in a box, and is dedicated to providing around-the-clock cybersecurity services to keep businesses running smoothly and safely.”
