FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CORSAIR®, a world leader in high-performance PC components, gaming peripherals, and enthusiast memory, announced today that Jason Glen Cahilly, former Chief Strategic & Financial Officer of the National Basketball Association, has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Cahilly, a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in the global sports, media, entertainment, technology and leisure industries, will serve in a non-executive capacity on CORSAIR’s Board of Directors. He will also consult with Andy Paul, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and other senior executives on eSports and other strategic initiatives.

Most recently, Cahilly served as Chief Strategic & Financial Officer of the NBA, where he was responsible for setting strategic priorities and direction globally. Cahilly also helped lead the league's initiatives in the eSports realm, including the launch of NBA 2K eSports tournaments and the creation of an NBA 2K eSports league in partnership with Take-Two Interactive. These efforts involved working closely with NBA teams and team owners, eSports teams, game publishers, tournament organizers, online distributors, players, personalities, and fans worldwide. Prior to the NBA, Cahilly spent 12 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he served as a partner and the Global Co-Head of Media & Telecommunications, as well as a founding member of the firm’s Internet Investment Committee. He currently serves as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dragon Group LLC, an independent private company that acts in close partnership with co-owners and management teams to help accelerate fundamental value creation among its holdings. Cahilly also currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest travel leisure company. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.
