TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba Corporation’s (TOKYO:6502) Storage & Electronic Devices Solutions Company today announced the launch of a new line-up of high voltage intelligent power devices (IPDs) in small-size packages for use in various fan motors including air conditioners, air cleaners and pumps. The new line-up consists of 2 products, the 600V/2.5A “TPD4204F” and the 500V/2.5A “TPD4206F,” and starts shipments from today.
Utilizing the latest Toshiba MOSFET technology, the new IPDs achieve high voltage and low power loss in a newly developed small-size surface mount “SOP30” package, measuring only 20.0mm x 14.2mm. It has approximately only half the mounting space of Toshiba’s current package [1], which can contribute to smaller and thinner sets.
