SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Seattle-based Pavia Systems, the leading software and technology firm focused exclusively on infrastructure construction, recently attended the weekly meeting of the Seattle Building and Construction Trades Council, which is the preeminent building trades group in Seattle. The group consists of nineteen affiliated local unions and represents more than 10,500 members in Seattle and King County Washington.
Si Katara, president of Pavia Systems attended the meeting along with Leonard Levine, former transportation secretary for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Secretary Levine discussed the current political climate in the country as it relates to repairing the nation’s transportation infrastructure indicating that we may be headed for construction projects totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars as we begin to repair the nation’s deficient roads and bridges. Levine mentioned that Pavia Systems, which has developed a software platform called HeadLight for infrastructure construction teams will help to make these national road and bridge construction projects more efficient.

Levine told the Council that the inspection tool is currently being used on a major bridge construction project in Minnesota. More than forty HeadLight inspection tools are in the hands of construction inspectors on the mile-long St. Croix River Bridge near Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN to assist in keeping the large project on budget and on time.

HeadLight is currently being used on five Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) construction projects in the Seattle area including the SR 520 Floating Bridge and Landings project, the SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct tunnel and the building of new HOV lanes in two locations on Interstate 5 in Seattle.
In addition to the WSDOT projects Pavia Systems has also partnered with Everett, WA based engineering consulting firm, Perteet, Inc for the use of Headlight on state-wide projects.
