TAICHUNG, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--2016 Taiwan International Machine Tool Show is themed of “Activating Intelligent Manufacturing.Heading towards Industry 4.0” which is consistent with the world trend as a highlight at the exhibition this year. Organized by Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association, TMTS 2016 will be held on November 23rd-27th at Greater Taichung International Expo Center (GTIEC), located near THSR Taichung Station. The exhibition area will be 78,000 square meters with 700 exhibitors and 4,000 booths.
The subject of intelligent manufacturing is machine level of intellectualization has to be raised to head towards Industry 4.0. Taiwan government has collected related information from every industry to challenge efficiency enhancement, which is one of the main aspects of Industry 4.0. In use of advanced manufacturing process and technology, high labor cost can be overcome and more orders of medium-end product can be obtained. Moreover, production efficiency can be improved through data analysis. As every country is striding into intelligent manufacturing and Industry 4.0, Taiwan enterprises try to tap into overseas market by rapidly integrating domestic and foreign resources to develop intelligent machine.
TMTS 2016 will be showcasing advanced products, including sensing technology, machine-to-machine (M2M), data driven decision making, robot-controlled manufacturing, human-robot collaboration, and intelligent control of flexible (customized) manufacturing system, which are all specialized fields of Taiwan machine tool industry. Companies, such as HIWIN, TONGTAI, YCM, YINSH, CHMER, AVEX-SG, VICTOR, CNC-TAKANG and ACCUTEX, actively develop automation of production line, intellectualization of machine & equipment accessory, virtual reality Integration among sensor, factory and equipment, and R&D of robotics. In addition, some companies, such as DELTA, SIEMENS, ADVANTECH-LNC and HEIDENHAIN, move forward to provide smart solutions to improve machine efficiency, lead to process time shortening and labor reduction. As for research bodies and academic units, such as PRECISION MACHINERY R&D CENTER and National Chin-Yi University of Technology, are also engaged in resource synergy. By cooperation among government, industry, academia and research bodies, we are working out the blueprint of intelligent manufacturing to open up a win-win market.
