Primacy Hires Matt Cyr as VP of Strategic Practices to Lead Higher Education Consulting

Experienced marketer heads up leading digital agency’s fast-growing, cutting-edge higher education practice

BOSTON & FARMINGTON, Conn.--()--Digital agency Primacy announced today it has hired marketing veteran Matt Cyr as VP, Strategic Practices and lead for the agency’s higher education practice, effective immediately. Splitting his time between Primacy’s Boston and Farmington offices, Cyr will help account teams provide strategic consulting, grow and deepen relationships with Primacy’s existing education client base, and work with the business development team on prospective client activities within the industry. Cyr will also contribute thought leadership on behalf of the agency at industry events, in the media and on social channels.

Cyr joins Primacy after leading digital marketing initiatives at two universities. He was previously Director of Digital Marketing at Clark University, where he led a comprehensive digital strategy implementation including the launch of a new University-wide website, and Director of Digital Strategy at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies. Prior to a career in higher education, Cyr spent 17 years in healthcare, including 12 years in marketing and communications roles at Boston Children’s Hospital, and five years in organizational management roles at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
