AHF Midtown Manhattan Healthcare Center Welcomes Dr. Ricky Hsu

NEW YORK--()--AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, is pleased to announce and welcome Dr. Ricky Hsu as medical director of its AHF Midtown Healthcare Center located at 352 7th Ave., Suite 1205, New York, NY 10001. The Healthcare Center offers patient appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (212) 627-7560. The location also offers an AHF Pharmacy Access Center to provide pharmacy services to patients.

Dr. Hsu, a graduate of Harvard Medical School, is a primary care provider with a focus on HIV who has been serving the HIV community for over 20 years. With a practice of nearly 3,000 in Midtown Manhattan, he is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the HIV Medicine Association of the Infectious Disease Society of America. Dr. Hsu is also Associate Clinical Professor at NYU Medical Center in New York City, where he teaches residents and medical students. He has lectured on HIV throughout the country, published review articles and research in a variety of journals, and has presented his clinical studies at International AIDS Conferences.

According to the 2014 HIV/AIDS Annual Surveillance Report compiled by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Manhattan has the highest cases of new HIV diagnoses in New York City, followed by Brooklyn and Queens. Black and Latino men who have sex with men (MSM) continue to be disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS in the city, with people between the ages of 20-29 bearing the greatest burden of new HIV infections.
