BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ezCater, the only nationwide marketplace for business catering, today announced that Onur Mergen has joined the company’s executive team as Chief Technology Officer. A proven technology leader who most recently served as SVP of Engineering at Rue La La, Onur will lead ezCater’s engineering organization. Leveraging his past success in building high-performance ecommerce platforms, Onur will help ezCater meet its fast-growing demand. Onur will also expand ezCater’s engineering team of 22 to at least double its size within a year.

Onur brings over 20 years of experience leading software development teams at high-growth technology, SaaS, and ecommerce companies. At Rue La La, he added substantial new business capabilities by revamping development practices and significantly expanding the technology stack. Onur started his career in software startups such as WorldStreet and Convoq.
